Pearls are rare, valuable items used to unlock perk upgrades and supplies. Pearls can be found in three qualities: Crude, Shiny, Glimmering. Higher-quality pearls are significantly rarer and required for later upgrades.

- Crude and Shiny pearls can be exchanged at the Fishing Craftsman at a 10:1 rate (up or down).
- The Lustrous Hook and Pearl Magnet perks can increase the quality and quantity of caught Pearls.
Catch Chance
Pearls have a base catch chance of 5%, which can be increased by the following
- Fishing during a Lustrous Storm (+5%)
- Fishing at a Fishing Hotspot with an Pearl Chance buff (+5%)
- Upgrading the Pearl Chance perk (up to +5%)
- Activating an Pearl Lure (+100%)
